Mission Statement .

To preserve the current system of state based regulation of insurance products and agents, which through the oversight of state insurance commissioners and state attorneys general has effective protected policyholders and consumers for nearly one hundred and fifity years.

 

To avoid unnecessary, confusing, and costly duplication of insurance regulation by the federal government, recognizing that the current system has protected policyholders and consumers in these trying economic times and promoted competition in the market place that has benefited all consumers.   

 

To promote continued modernization and improvements to the current system of state-based regulation of insurance for the benefit of consumers and providers of insurance.
