Washington, D.C. ABOUT COFIR
Consumer Protection at Risk
The Coalition Opposed to a Federal Insurance Regulator (COFIR) represents companies and organizations which oppose the creation of a federal insurance regulator. COFIR stands in fierce opposition to the creation of a massive new federal bureaucracy far removed from the states, which would threaten consumer protections while building an unnecessary and confusing dual system of insurance laws and regulations.
